Creative Wellness provides professional health services at their wellness center in East Lansing, MI. Services include massage therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, and classes.
Energy work is the act of channeling and manipulating the energy that courses through your body in order to heal it. Energy practitioners remove blocks in your body’s energetic field that can cause poor health.

We offer a series of well-being classes and release new schedules every January, June and September. During COVID, we are only offering zoom classes in meditation, MELT, and Nia.
This 5 week in-person class will help you start a daily meditation practice. We will explore formal meditation techniques from different traditions and informal mindfulness techniques you can do during everyday, active living. Kurt will explain the techniques, guide you into meditation, and we will have time for questions and discussion. No masks required in classroom, but feel free to wear a mask if you’d like. Kurt has been teaching meditation since 2009 and practicing since 1996.

This class will explore the fundamental modalities of Chinese Medicine for those who are interested in learning more about the traditional methods of Acupuncture and Herbal medicine. We will also explore the classical theories and methods of Chinese Medicine, emphasizing their basis in direct embodied experience
- Healthy Lifestyle Teachings of Chinese Medicine (yangshengfa) - Fee: $40
This class will discuss the healthy lifestyle teachings of Chinese Medicine (yangshengfa), and will focus on living with the seasons and diet. This class will explore how the basis of health is the ability to listen to the signals our bodies send us and to interpret them in ways that support our flourishing. Participants are strongly encouraged to supplement with two once-weekly acupuncture treatments with Aidan, which will allow him to personalize the material of the class and instruct participants in the specific ways it can be applicable to their unique body and condition.
Seeking tools from Yoga to calm, center and energize yourself? Explore Gentle Yoga fluid, yet transformational style of guided warm-up, posture flow, and relaxation meditation. No yoga experience is necessary. All are welcome.

This self-defense for women workshop will provide awareness and safety tools, as well as realistic and practical physical strategies to help you avoid and/or survival a physical attack. The class is centered around love for yourself, making good choices, awareness of your surroundings and proven physical strategies. The "who, what, when. why and how" of self-protection will be explained and practiced in a safe and inclusive environment.

Quit smoking with the help of acupuncture.
Acupuncture can curb cravings and engage the body's relaxation response aiding in your commitment to quit smoking.
Session 1: Discussion of how acupuncture can be helpful while trying to quit smoking including tips for quitting through preparation. Consent forms will be completed along with a brief consultation. Acupuncture treatment will be applied.

VALENTINE’S DAY PARTNER MASSAGE
This class teaches couples the proper way to perform therapeutic techniques simply and easily to give your partner relief, comfort, and contentment. By focusing on form, body position, and areas of discomfort you will add skills that will benefit both you and your partner for years to come.

Class Limit: 10 Couples
Beginning: Participants will learn 1st of 3 sections of this ancient Chinese art. This slow and gentle meditative movements of this Long Form of Yang-style Tai Chi will help relieve tension, increase balance, and improve health. It also has self-defense applications and is an excellent exercise.
Advanced and Intermediate (not sure what he is calling it now) Students will continue to learn the Long Form at their own speed with more individualized instruction. Push Hands and Sword Form applications will also be explored for those who are interested.
