Spring has Sprung!

"The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also." - Harriet Ann Jacobs

Spring is a time for renewal and rebirth, Creative Wellness has blossomed into a larger space to better serve our patients. Don't worry, we aren't moving very far. Our new building is still in the Asher Court complex, just across the parking lot from our old office in Suite 200. We are expanding from one chiropractor room to four, adding a second acupuncture room and increasing the number of massage rooms from 10 to 15. To further enhance our growth we have added a third chiropractor and a second acupuncturist to the staff, as well as several new Massage Therapists (MTs).

The setting where one experiences a healing treatment is very important to the overall sense of well-being. We want our patients to start feeling relaxed the moment they walk in the door, anticipating the healing treatment they will soon receive. You will smell the subtle fresh herbal scents of the massage oils, you'll see light colors designed to calm the senses, you'll hear the gentle sound of the water fall, and you’ll start to unwind. The contemporary architectural features are designed to transport you and enhance your overall experience. When your body is fully relaxed, therapeutic treatments will have greater effects on your body.

While waiting, you can enjoy an assortment of herbal teas, listen to soft music and wander through our reorganized reception area and shop for your favorite health products. We carry many local products such as bath bombs from Bath Salt Creations, homeopathic remedies, and Earth Werkes aromatherapy products created by our very own Susan Stuhr.

Spring is also a time for trying new things. If you have been working hard on your New Year's resolution, now is a great time to enhance your efforts for greater results.

Do you want to reduce the stress in your life? Get a massage to ease the knots in your muscles and relieve stress. Or try a different type of massage such as Thai Massage, which is more energizing and rigorous than more classic forms of massage. Thai massage is also called Yoga massage and uses a series of yoga-like stretches and is done fully clothed. Ashiatsu Massage is also a unique experience where the therapist uses overhead parallel bars to balance, while applying gliding strokes of the feet to pressure points along the spine providing an amazing deep tissue experience.

Needles as fine as a strand of hair Try acupuncture to help with those pesky allergies, or maybe to finally kick that habit you've been working on eliminating. Acupuncture relieves pain, improves circulation, and eases stress. It has also been proven successful for smoking cessation and for combating substance abuse. Achieving complete wellbeing does not just involve the body, but also the mind and spirit. Acupuncture can also treat psychological issues such as depression including depressive neurosis and post traumatic stress disorder.

There is more than one way to correct posture Book a chiropractic appointment to start the process of living pain free and correcting bad posture. According to chiropractic medicine, the spine is the foundation of good health. Misalignments ultimately lead to health issues such as back and neck pain, digestive disorders, TMJ, headaches, insomnia, hyperactivity, and more. Chiropractic medicine is a drug-free, alterative approach to health and seeks to affect the body's own self-healing properties.

Move your body in a new way Check out that class that you have always wanted to try and add something new to your workout. Creative Wellness has a variety of classes that appeal to all ages and skill levels, such as Beginning and Intermediate Tai Chi, NIA, Meditation and Relaxation, Pilates, Yoga, Infant and Partner massage, and Chilel Qigong. Current class information can be found in this newsletter and on our website.

Even though Creative Wellness is moving and expanding, our professional integrity and commitment to our patients' health and well-being is still our number one priority, as it has been for the past twenty-years. Massage therapists, acupuncturists and chiropractors are trained professionals who hold the same or higher standards as any medical profession in regards to patient/caregiver confidentiality. Not only is it their job to perform healing work, it is also their responsibility to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

Make new friends this spring and join us on Facebook and be the first to receive many updates and specials. However you choose to spend this spring, we wish you good health and well-being.
