Massage Therapy

Creative Wellness has a variety massage therapists on staff offering a wide range and style of massage therapies.

Our therapists are graduates of accredited schools and many are nationally certified by the NCBTBM -National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.  Most have graduated from massage therapy schools in the Mid-West. Others have come from as far as Europe and South America.

Creative Wellness has a unique philosophy where we encourage you to explore different therapists and different modalities to help you achieve your goals. Each therapist is a unique person and has developed their own style and approach to bodywork. As you will read below, each therapist determines their own career path and decides which modalities to pursue for supplemental training and certification. We feel this is a great advantage for our clients.

Analise
completed her training at Lansing Community College and uses a variety of clinical and relaxation modalities. Analise has experience working with geriatric patients, and providing chair massages at events such as bike tours, 5K races, and trade and bridal shows. She has been with Creative Wellness since 2010.

Ann R. is nationally certified in massage therapy and has over ten years of experiece. She joined the Creative Wellness family in 1993! Dedicated to providing excellent care to her clients, Ann tailors her treatments to their needs through active and engaged listening. She is trained in many modalities and massage techniques, including pregnancy massage, polarity therapy, and acupressure.

Andrew studied Massage Therapy at Lansing Community College, and is nationally certified in Massage Therapy and he is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Among his specializations, Andrew works with clients to promote wellness through Clinical Massage, Positional Release, Relaxation Massage and Reflexology on the feet. Andrew works diligently with clients using a variety techniques to alleviate pain associated with migraines and TMJ. Andrew joined Creative Wellness in 2009.

Anna is nationally certified in Massage Therapy, a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and has been dedicated to serving clients of Creative Wellness since 1997! Anna’s experience as a social worker and skilled listener allows her to give a very personal experience to each client. Of Anna’s numerous specializations, she is enthusiastic about providing clients with health, relaxation, and wellness through Reiki (she is certified in all levels of Reiki therapy), Esoteric Healing (she is certified through level 4), and Craniosacral therapy.

Corey is a Lansing area native and trained at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy. She has experience in Myofascial, Neuromuscular and Trigger Point Therapy which can help with issues related to prolonged computer use and work stress. Corey also works to raise awareness of the benefits of complementary medicine and the importance of having a well-rounded health and wellbeing plan, particularly in the areas of ergonomic workstations and occupational habits.

Faith is a certified massage therapist with over 18 years of experience. She has also worked as an assistant in physical therapy and Osteopathic medicine. She has extensive training in Energy work including advanced work in Esoteric Healing. Reiki and Therapeutic Touch. In addition, she has worked with cancer survivors, adults and children with injuries to the back, neck and head and trauma survivors. Her diverse background and experience in meditation and relaxation techniques allow her to bring a peaceful trusting presence to each session. Faith’s expertise in Clinical, Myofacial Relaxation massage and Energy work enable her to meet people where they are when they see her for massage.

Jason is a nationally certified massage therapist and worked for several years as a social worker in geriatric settings before pursuing a career in massage therapy. He attended the Chicago School of Massage Therapy and received advanced clinical training through the Orthopaedic Massage Education and Research Institute. Jason specializes in Neuromuscular Therapy and Sports and Oncology Massage. He is particularly passionate about helping clients achieve their fitness goals. Jason joined Creative Wellness in April 2000.

Kathleen is a board certified structural integrator and is additionally certified in Rolfing® structural integration. Kathleen is also a practitioner of the Rossiter System for workplace health. She comes to East Lansing every Monday from Southfield to bring these modalities to the area.

Laura P graduated from Lakewood School of Therapeutic Massage and is a nationally certified massage therapist. To accommodate the changing needs of her clients she combines Clinical, Relaxation, Trigger Point, Myofascial, and Sports Massage techniques to create a soothing and therapeutic experience for her clients. In addition, Laura practices Thai Massage. She joined Creative Wellness in 2002.


Lori completed her training at Lansing Community College and is nationally certified in massage therapy and bodywork. She is additionally certified in Ashiatsu Bar Therapy and Oncology Massage with advanced training in Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Neuromuscular Therapy. Many of her clients come to Lori for relief of upper body tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back. Lori joined Creative Wellness in July 2008.

Maja is back at Creative Wellness after pursuing education out of state and is now currently a student at Michigan State University. She has been specializing in massage for the past thirteen years. Maja has practiced massage therapy throughout Pennsylvania, Iowa and Michigan. Maja's enjoys helping people become aware of their bodies and assists them in getting their body back into balance and she finds it very rewarding. In addition to her integrated body work, she also teaches yoga at Creative Wellness.

Monika is a graduate of The Chicago School of Massage Therapy and has a special interest in helping clients with chronic tension headaches and cervical problems. Her training also includes Neuromuscular Technique, Sports Massage, Deep-Tissue Massage, and Pregnancy Massage.

Rachel graduated from the LCC Massage School, and is studying to be a physical therapist. She is originally from Colorado and has lived in Holt for over six years.  Rachel loves working with hands and all types of people, seniors, athletes, and people generally looking to better their health.

Renee has over 15 years of experience as a massage therapist. In addition, she is a health educator with a master’s degree in exercise physiology and is currently working toward a second master’s degree at Michigan State University. Renee started studying clinical massage techniques because she was injured as a collegiate athlete, and found that she deeply enjoys helping people with restorative health needs.

Rocky attended massage school at Lansing Community College and also has a bachelor’s degree in advertising from San Jose State in California. Rocky was inspired to pursue body work when his uncle suffered a brain tumor that resulted in half of his body being paralyzed. Rocky witnessed how his uncle was able to get back on his feet and become independent through dedication to physical therapy. In addition to being trained in clinical massage, Rocky is certified in reflexology and also enjoys working with athletes.

Sarah has over six years of massage therapy training and is a member of AMTA. She enjoys integrating and combining different techniques of Clinical and Relaxation Massage and energy work to provide a highly therapeutic experience for each client. Sarah is enthusiastic about using her training to help people achieve a higher quality of life. Sarah has additional training in Polarity Therapy (level 2), Reiki (level 2), and Neuromuscular and Trigger Point therapies.

Shawna is a graduate of The Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy and is certified in Swedish, Myofascial and Neuromuscular Massage techniques. As a mom, Shawna has a special interest in working with clients who are pregnant or under emotional stress, paying particular attention to neck and shoulder issues. She is constantly attentive to the individual needs of each client, listens to their concerns and uses her training to provide relief and a greater quality of life.

Susan is a graduate of The Ann Arbor Institute of Massage and is Nationally Board Certified. She also holds a B.A. from Michigan State University in Psychology. She has been practicing for more than 15 years and draws from a long list of modalities including Aromatherapy, Myofascial, Neuromuscular, Sport Massage, and Muscle Release Techniques to treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Susan has specialized training and interest in massage for stress management.

Will graduated from Lansing Community College’s Massage School and is trained in clinical massage. He enjoys working with people to help relieve stress and make their day better. Will also works as a male model and served in Iraq as a Sergeant in the US Army.

Mark Poletti, D.C.

Mark Poletti - Doctor of Chiropractic and Ayurvedic Medicine specialist in Lansing, MichiganDr. Mark Poletti has been practicing Chiropractic Medicine since 1986. He is a graduate of Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia. He has also received advanced training in pediatric adjustment and applied nutrition. Dr. Poletti specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disc disease, which reduces the necessity for any likelihood of surgery. He relies on his skill in palpation of the spine rather than x-rays to diagnose and treat vertebral subluxation. In addition to chiropractic manipulation, Dr. Poletti's treatments often include herbal and nutritional counseling, suggestions for yoga exercises, and recommendations for lifestyle changes.

Dr. Poletti also specializes in Ayurvedic Medicine, the oldest healing system in the world, which was brought to the U.S. forefront by Dr. Deepak Chopra. Dr. Poletti has been practicing Ayurvedic Medicine since 1991. His esteemed instructors have included Deepak Chopra, M.D., Vivek Shanbhag, M.D. of Bastyr University of Naturopathic Medicine, and Dr. Vasant Lad of the Ayurvedic Institute, among others. Dr. Poletti has also received training in Ayurvedic Marma Transdermal Therapy and pulse diagnosis from Dr. Rama K. Mishra.

Megan Patrick, D.C.

Simone Ranes - Doctor of Chiropractic MedicineDr. Patrick earned her Doctor of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY and her Bachelor or Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. She has also completed advanced chiropractic training in Activator Technique, Sports Module, Sacral Occipital Technique and Myofascial Release Technique.

She has been a gymnast since she was ten years old and has been coaching gymnastics since the age of 14.

Dr. Patrick treats patients of all types and ages and has a special interest in working with athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Simone Ranes, D.C.

Simone Ranes - Doctor of Chiropractic MedicineDr. Simone Ranes is a graduate of Michigan State University (B.S. Psychology), Lansing Community College (Massage Therapy Certification) and the Palmer College of Chiropractic - Davenport Campus (Doctor of Chiropractic). Dr. Ranes practices an advanced chiropractic method, Sacro-Occipital Technique. This technique is one of the oldest and most highly respected chiropractic methods. It is a whole body approach and has proven safe and effective for patients of all ages.

As a wife and a mother, Dr. Ranes lends her support to women of all ages who are interested in expanding their knowledge of total body wellness for themselves and their families. Originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Dr. Ranes has been a resident of East Lansing for close to two decades and is proud to serve the Greater Lansing Area community.

Annie Haas

Annie Haas - Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine specialist in Lansing, MichiganAnnie Haas is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine - San Diego where she earned a Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She also holds a National Certification in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Annie earned her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, where she majored in Anthropology.

Annie has experience in a variety of clinical settings, including community clinics and homeless shelters. Additionally, she has treated patients with a wide range of ailments, including migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, insomnia, anxiety, stress, RA, menstrual disorders, vertigo, digestive disorders, IBS, herpes zoster (shingles), infertility, high blood pressure, back pain, hip pain, knee pain, neck pain, addictions, iatrogenic effects of chemotherapy, and pediatric patients.

Annie also has experience with Tui Na and Qi Gong, and is interested in promoting health and well being through diet, lifestyle and the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
